What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage financial analysis and reporting, including budget development and complex analytical reports for principal investigators
- Develop proposals and budgets for grant and contract submissions while ensuring compliance with sponsor regulations
- Oversee portfolio management across multiple awards, advising on financial issues and managing renewals and closeouts
- Provide guidance on compliance matters and ensure adherence to sponsor policies and University procedures
- Cultivate strong working relationships with faculty and internal/external contacts to enhance collaborative finance partnerships
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of two years of related financial experience
- Working knowledge of university organization, administrative and financial guidelines, and accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly strong experience using Microsoft Excel
- Superior customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Management, or related field
- Prior experience with Grants & Contract Administration, particularly in international sponsored awards
- Familiarity with Workday Financials and/or the Yale Budgeting Tool (YBT)
- Experience as an accountant or financial professional in a university setting
