      Position Overview

      Investment Solutions is a high impact team of portfolio managers and solutions specialists with associates located in St Louis, London, and Singapore. The team is at the forefront of new business activities within reinsurance and acquisitions. We develop and execute liability driven investment strategies to optimize risk adjusted returns within various constraints. We seek motivated individuals with strong quantitative and communication skills to join our growing team and perform in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.



      Responsibilities

      1. Work closely with portfolio managers to support quantitative and analytical functions which are core to asset intensive reinsurance transactions:
      • Design transaction specific investment strategies to optimize return on capital within regulatory, accounting, operating and risk management constraints.
      • Negotiate investment guidelines and treaty terms with clients to deliver the flexibility necessary to manage investment risk and generate target returns.
      • Maintain asset and credit related pricing assumptions.
      1. Develop strong relationships with credit research, traders, and operations teams. Collaborate with these teams to refine investment strategies and implement new solutions.
      2. Support development of existing tools and innovation of new tools to further progress the speed and efficiency of portfolio construction and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
      3. Explain and communicate complex analysis to senior stakeholders as part of deal approval processes, as well as preparing reports and presentations to demonstrate work performed.
      4. Assist the Head of EMEA Investment Solutions with strategic projects and the review of investment and structured solutions opportunities.
      5. Maintain knowledge of latest investment practices, trends, and applications, and communicate these to the Global Investment Solutions team.



      Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree in a field requiring strong analytical and quantitative skills, such as Mathematics, Actuarial, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science
      • 3 or more years of relevant work experience
      • Advanced Excel skills, including VBA
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills
      • Ability to work well in an environment with multiple concurrent projects, managing project-based workflow within tight timeframes
      • Experience in insurance asset management or liability driven investment
      • Understanding of relevant insurance regulatory and accounting standards
      • Programming knowledge/experience with Python, MATLAB, SQL, C++ or R
