    • Districtwide implementation and sustainability of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS);
    • School-wide Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), including the student support process;
    • Integrating Social Skills and Dispositions, Graduate of Granite Characteristics, and Restorative practices for behavior suports in instructional practices.
    • Coach school teams using the problem-solving model, PLC practices, research-based strategies, and decision-making practices in the school-wide implementation of PBIS and MTSS.
    • Coach school PBIS and MTSS teams in the use of formative and summative data to make decisions about student interventions.
    • Contribute to the development and delivery of professional learning on PBIS and MTSS to school staff and students.
    • Work in collaboration with coaches and specialists across multiple district departments.
    • Attend district and state level professional learning opportunities and cross-departmental team meetings.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Solid understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework, Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and The Granite Way.
    • Leadership and participation in PLC work.
    • Understanding of behavior interventions and supports and the student support process.
    • Flexible and collaborative working style.
    • Interest in and understanding of adult learning strategies.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
    • Competence in Google tools and Microsoft Office.
    • Requires a Utah State Board of Education (USBE) cleared criminal background check.
    • Requires one of the following:
      • a valid Professional Educator License issued by the Utah State Board of Education with a license area of concentration in one of the following:
        • Early Childhood Education
        • Elementary
        • Secondary
        • Special Education
        • School Counselor
        • School Social Worker; or
        • School Psychologist; or
      • an equivalent license in another state.
    • a valid Professional Educator License issued by the Utah State Board of Education with a license area of concentration in one of the following:

      Job Summary:

      Positive Behavior Intervention And Support (PBIS) coach will work collaboratively with district departments, school teams and PLCs in K-12 implementation of PBIS within the framework of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and will provide coaching and technical assistance in the following areas:
      • Districtwide implementation and sustainability of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS);
      • School-wide Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), including the student support process;
      • Integrating Social Skills and Dispositions, Graduate of Granite Characteristics, and Restorative practices for behavior suports in instructional practices.

      Essential Functions:
      • Coach school teams using the problem-solving model, PLC practices, research-based strategies, and decision-making practices in the school-wide implementation of PBIS and MTSS.
