      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Collaborate with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections on research projects related to rehabilitation programs and policy analysis
      - Conduct data collection and management for various research initiatives
      - Perform data analyses and prepare reports, manuscripts, and presentations for conferences
      - Participate in mentoring graduate and undergraduate students
      - Engage in independent research projects utilizing available resources

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Ph.D. in criminal justice, criminology, sociology, economics, public policy, or a related field required at the time of appointment
      - Candidates must be Ph.D. candidates or scholars who have completed their Ph.D. within the past two years
      - Advanced training in statistics or methods of causal inference preferred
      - Knowledge of corrections, program evaluation, and practical experience in the field is preferred
      - Experience with predictive analytics, machine learning techniques, econometric techniques, and statistical software is preferred

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Research interests in institutional and community corrections
      - Training in data visualization techniques
      - Experience working with major research universities and institutes
