      About Runnymede Medical Practice:

      Runnymede Medical Practice is a well-established and respected GP practice serving the local communities in Old Windsor, Englefield Green and Egham. We are a four-partner practice with two sites, committed to providing high-quality, patient-cantered healthcare.

      About the Role:

      We are seeking a highly motivated Practice Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role not only in the smooth and efficient running of the practice but also helping to drive innovation as the future of General Practice evolves.

      Main duties of the job

      Key responsibilities:

      Leadership & Management:

      -Leading and managing the practice team, including reception, administration, and clinical support staff.

      -Working alongside the senior leadership of the four partners and liaising with relevant team leaders from clinical and non-clinical teams.

      -Fostering a positive and supportive team environment including supervision, support and training for staff.

      Operational Management:

      -Overseeing all aspects of practice operations, and monitoring objectives and performance targets for the team.

      -Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice guidelines (e.g., CQC, GDPR, NHS England).

      -Working with the partners and finance manager to have oversight of finances and budgets.

      -Overseeing practice premises and equipment.

      Quality Improvement:

      -Working with partners to identify key areas for improvement and implementing agreed improvement initiatives.

      -Collecting and analyzing practice data to inform decision-making and service development.

      -Participating in practice meetings and contributing to strategic planning.

      -Developing and implementing effective communication strategies with patients, staff and stakeholders.

      IT & Systems:

      -Managing practice IT systems, including the patient management system (EMIS Web) and other relevant software.

      -Ensuring the security and confidentiality of patient data.

      About us

      Runnymede Medical Practice is a friendly and forward thinking GP practice based across two sites on the Surrey/Berkshire borders. We look after the health and well-being of around 11,500 patients and are part of the Windsor PCN, with whom we have a close working relationship.

      Our clinical team consists of 4 GP partners and 2 salaried GPs, a Paramedic Practitioner, two Clinical Pharmacists and a nursing team of 5. They are supported by our Reception and Workflow Administration teams. We also have access to Social Prescribers, Health Coaches, Mental Health professionals and a Stop Smoking advisor.

      We are a training practice accredited by both the Oxford and Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deaneries and work with Southampton University and Imperial College London.

      • -Experience of managing budgets and financial resources.
      • -Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and practice management software (preferably EMIS Web).
