What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Answer incoming calls through the Pre-Authorization Support ACD and manage call/case handling
- Perform benefit verification and pre-surgical authorization for new cases, collaborating closely with payers
- Document case status and actions using Microsoft Office and database management
- Build relationships with healthcare professional offices and sales representatives to facilitate case handling
- Suggest continuous process improvements and coordinate with leads on complicated cases
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1-2 years of direct pre-authorization experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience, training, or apprenticeships
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a call center environment
- Ability to maintain current metric standards
