      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide job exploration counseling to students with disabilities
      - Deliver postsecondary education counseling and workplace readiness training
      - Facilitate work-based learning experiences for eligible students
      - Support self-advocacy and peer mentoring initiatives
      - Collaborate with local educational agencies and community partners to enhance student outcomes

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Associate's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience
      - Must reside in the assigned Northwest/Kansas City MO Pre-Employment Transition Services area
      - Willingness to work from a home office and travel up to 100% to designated school districts
      - Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in teaching or counseling, with familiarity in working with state agencies
      - Current MO teaching certificate or substitute teacher certification is required

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Fluency in American Sign Language to effectively serve students who are deaf or hard of hearing
      - Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in education or related field preferred
      - Experience with transition-age youth and knowledge of disability programs
      - Strong communication, organization, relationship-building, and leadership skills
      - Valid MO driver's license and flexibility in working hours
