What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Interact daily with existing and potential clients via telephone and in person
- Order medical records from providers and communicate with clients throughout their treatment
- Obtain necessary documents to support injury and liability positions
- Negotiate case settlements with insurance carriers and manage outstanding medical balances
- Maintain organized case files and prepare comprehensive demands for submission to carriers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal position or as an insurance adjuster
- Strong negotiating skills and ability to be a team player
- Proactive communication with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal
- Strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail
- Extensive computer expertise, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to type no less than 35 words per minute
