What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Gather and verify patient registration information, including demographic and insurance details
- Monitor and clear work queues related to registration, referrals, and prior authorizations
- Collaborate with primary care and specialty practices to ensure necessary approvals are obtained
- Document referral and authorization information accurately within the Epic system
- Communicate effectively with patients and providers to resolve financial clearance issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in hospital registration and/or insurance, with at least one year in a customer service role
- General knowledge of healthcare terminology and CPT-ICD10 codes
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Suite applications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Epic or similar healthcare management systems
- Knowledge of revenue cycle processes and insurance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations and manage multiple priorities
