What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design and assess new features and safety mitigations for the automated insulin delivery (AID) algorithm and overall product
- Analyze clinical device data for algorithm development using appropriate statistical tools
- Execute research plans, simulations, and experiments to evaluate clinical implications of new system features and safety mitigations
- Demonstrate the value and clinical benefits of new features and safety mitigations to key stakeholders
- Collaborate effectively with multiple cross-functional groups within and outside the organization
What is Required (Qualifications):
- B.S. or Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field with 12+ years of experience
- Ph.D. in a relevant field preferred, with 5 or more years of academic or industrial research experience in control and signal processing or data science in diabetes
- Exceptional software writing skills to implement and evaluate research ideas
- Ability to translate research into real-world applications
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge and experience in diabetes technology
- Experience in the medical device industry
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or professional conference presentations
- Proficiency in multiple software languages: Matlab, Python, SQL, C/C++, Java
- Excellent collaborative teamwork skills
