What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Apply Natural Language Processing (NLP) and AI/ML techniques to develop model systems and solutions for healthcare
- Collaborate with product leaders, data scientists, and healthcare professionals to integrate advanced solutions into user experiences
- Design, build, and evaluate solutions involving structured and unstructured data for various healthcare use cases
- Conduct research and experimentation to select appropriate algorithms and frameworks for model development
- Mentor and provide technical expertise in advanced AI, NLP, and machine learning methodologies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- PhD or comparable level of experience in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or a related field
- 4-10+ years of industry experience in building solutions for commercial SaaS, with at least 4 years in NLP, Search, or AI/ML technologies for healthcare
- Extensive hands-on experience in Natural Language Processing and other AI/ML techniques
- Proficiency in Python and Java, with additional skills in JavaScript or TypeScript preferred
- Solid understanding of transformer models and experience with big data processing frameworks
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with large datasets and public cloud infrastructure for deploying machine learning models
- Familiarity with industry-standard software development concepts such as version control and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively and methodically
- Experience in data engineering for ML and NLP applications
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, particularly in distributed team environments
