      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Oversee the production and monitoring of the annual operating budget, ensuring accuracy and completeness
      - Coordinate and participate in the preparation of research reports for executive-level decision-making
      - Facilitate the annual budget preparation process, providing expertise to administrative staff of assigned departments
      - Develop and present financial recommendations to City officials and community groups
      - Supervise and manage Budget Office employees and their assignments effectively

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or public administration
      - Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible work experience in governmental or large-scale organizational budget development, financial analysis, or financial administration
      - Three (3) years of supervisory experience, including responsibility for assigning work and monitoring performance
      - Strong knowledge of governmental budgeting principles and financial analysis
      - Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in spreadsheet development and advanced Excel functions

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Master's degree in public administration (MPA), Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Accounting, or Economics
      - Five (5) years of experience leading or coordinating a full budget cycle for a public-sector entity
      - Experience preparing budget presentations for executive leadership and working with governing bodies
