What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure compliance with U.S. export and import regulations, including EAR, ITAR, and HTS
- Perform jurisdiction classification (JC) and Harmonized System (HS) classifications
- Support investigations and reviews of potential Global Trade (GT) escapes and disclosures
- Lead project management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement policies that adhere to global trade laws
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience with U.S. export classification regulations, specifically EAR and ITAR
- Strong technical/engineering background
- Proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of classifications under the World Customs Organization (WCO) HTS
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or CORE methodologies
- BS/MS in Engineering or Business Administration
- Aerospace program or technical experience
- 1 to 2 years of experience working with Global Trade and related export/HTS classification matters
- Familiarity with Collins/RTX current trade compliance processes and systems
