      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Perform initial and follow-up reviews of patient records to assign accurate diagnoses and procedures for DRG assignment
      - Query physicians for additional documentation to resolve unclear or conflicting health record data
      - Educate healthcare providers on the importance of complete and accurate clinical documentation
      - Collaborate with coding professionals to ensure accurate diagnostic and procedural data
      - Conduct independent research on clinical topics, coding guidelines, and healthcare economics

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Graduate of an accredited nursing school, PA, NP, or medical school, or an Associate's degree with CCDS certification
      - Minimum of two years of experience in an acute care setting or relevant experience
      - Licensed as a Clinical Documentation Specialist, Physician Assistant, Physician, Registered Nurse, or Advanced Practice Nurse in the applicable state
      - Strong understanding of clinical documentation, coding guidelines, and healthcare regulations
      - Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with healthcare teams

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in clinical documentation improvement or coding in a healthcare setting
      - Additional certifications related to clinical documentation or healthcare quality
      - Familiarity with electronic health record systems and coding software
      - Proven track record of successful collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
      - Commitment to continuous professional development in healthcare practices
