      Business Function

      The Estates Administration Service is a highly successful business unit within Equiniti with substantial opportunity for growth. With expertise and specialist knowledge, it provides a comprehensive, personal and professional service in all aspects of an estate of a deceased person.

      We currently have 10 teams across offices in Exeter and Birmingham with around 50 colleagues administering the terms of a Will or rules of Intestacy, including obtaining the Grant and to include taxation and other legislative aspects.

      Role Summary

      The role of the Estates Manager will encompass both the technical aspects of Bereavement Estate Administration as well as possessing the qualities of a good leader or people.

      The role requires Estate Administration experience, demonstration of leadership, people management skills, and exhibiting the Group values and performance management capabilities. Providing outstanding service to beneficiaries as well as supporting the team to reach their fullest potential where customer service is delivered is required in the role.

      Managing a team of around 4 people and a case load of around 60/70 cases with associated risk and providing a comprehensive personal and professional service in the administration and execution of all aspects of an estate of a deceased person is the core function of the role. In addition, being an active member of the Management team and supporting the office, promoting new initiatives and any required changes are key.

      • Recruit, coach and develop individuals in order to maximise their potential
