      REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

      Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related healthcare field. Four (4) years of process improvement related experience, two (2) years of which must be direct experience with lean methodologies and/or six sigma.

      JOB SUMMARY:

      The primary purpose of the Process Improvement Specialist II position is to develop leaders in operational excellence (lean). The position also leads and facilitates process improvement teams (such as model cells or enterprise projects) using the appropriate improvement strategy. The Process Improvement Specialist II serves as a mentoring resource for other entry level specialists and coordinators. They provide advanced analytics to understand root cause, identify opportunities for improvement and ensure statistically validated improvements. The Process Improvement Specialist provides expertise in operations research applications, facilities design and layout, ergonomics and human factors applications, failure mode and effect analysis, systems simulation, forecasting models, and work measurement techniques. The Process Improvement Specialist also delivers training and education to the organization in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Serves as a leadership coach related to performance excellence.
