The Procurement Analyst is responsible for analyzing procurement data, optimizing purchasing processes, and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives. This role involves evaluating supplier performance, conducting market research, and providing actionable insights to enhance cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
Education Required
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
Licenses/Certifications Required
• None
Work Experience Required
• 2+ years of experience in procurement, data analysis, or supply chain roles.
• Experience in spend analysis, supplier scoring, and contract impact analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) preferred Experience with category management
• Familiarity with e-procurement- platforms and tools
• Healthcare industry experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• This role involves interaction and collaboration with other departments and requires excellent judgment and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of procurement and sourcing principles, including competitive bidding, RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ), supplier evaluation, and contract lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of contract structures, commercial terms, pricing models, and standard contractual risk concepts (e.g., term, termination, indemnification, service levels).
• Knowledge of spend analysis methodologies and cost-reduction levers, including demand management, supplier consolidation, and pricing benchmarking.
• Knowledge of financial concepts relevant to procurement, including total cost of ownership (TCO), budgeting, accruals, and savings tracking
. • Knowledge of supplier relationship management practices and performance measurement frameworks.
Knowledge of applicable regulatory, compliance, and ethical standards impacting procurement activities.
• Knowledge of procurement software such as Workday.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret spend data, identify trends, develop insights, and support sourcing and negotiation strategies.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to prepare analyses, business cases, and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related analytical tools for data manipulation, reporting, and financial modeling.
• Ability to support supplier negotiations through data preparation, pricing analysis, and documentation of outcomes.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills to manage multiple initiatives, timelines, and stakeholders concurrently.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, legal, and business owners to align procurement strategies with organizational objectives. • Ability to analyze complex information, exercise sound judgment, and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Ability to work independently with moderate oversight while managing competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in financial, contractual, and analytical work products.
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs, evolving supplier markets, and shifting priorities.
• Ability to build professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support effective sourcing outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement and spend data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, variances, and operational inefficiencies.
• Perform total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses across goods and services, including pricing, volume, utilization, and lifecycle cost drivers.
• Conduct variance analysis between contracted pricing, invoiced amounts, budgets, and forecasts to identify discrepancies and improvement opportunities.
• Validate and track procurement savings, including cost reductions, cost avoidance, and pricing improvements, in coordination with Finance.
• Evaluate supplier performance using data-driven metrics related to quality, delivery, pricing, and contractual compliance.
• Conduct market, supplier, and pricing analyses to support sourcing strategies, negotiation positioning, and supplier selection decisions.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend data-driven improvements to procurement processes, controls, and standard operating procedures.
• Design, prepare, and maintain procurement reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to support leadership and stakeholder decision-making.
• Support contract drafting, review, and compliance management through analytical review of commercial terms, pricing structures, and obligations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and other Company departments and stakeholders to align procurement strategies with financial targets, operational needs, and business objectives.

Additional Requirements
• Office Environment: Tasks may be conducted within a climate-controlled office setting.
• Physical Activity: The role may require the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials, supplies, and equipment (up to 15 lbs.) Duties typically involve a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent changes in position.
• Travel: Travel may be required, including travel between Company locations and out-oftown destinations as needed. (10%)
• Safety Equipment: May require the use of safety equipment for infection prevention
