      Procurement Manager

      Summary of duties:

      Purchasing spearheads the Information Technology purchasing process from selecting suppliers to ensuring stock optimization, as well as provide guidance on sourcing and procurement processes.

      Procurement Manager is a supply chain and logistics expert who will specialize in implementing cost-effective purchases of all goods and services, as required by the company. Ensuring quality control and adhering to the company’s policies and procedures on supply chain management will be some of your main priorities when carrying out this role. Additional responsibilities, leveraging negotiating skills, include supporting Accounts Receivable collections efforts from slow-paying customers.

      Procurement Responsibilities:

      • Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
      • Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
      • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
      • Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
      • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
      • Creating purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
      • Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
      • Manage and communicate with employees through company’s ticketing system.
      • Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
      • Preparing procurement reports.
      • Collaborate with Warehouse function to optimize inventory ordering

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree
      • 6 years prior procurement experience
      • 5+ years diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skill (or equivalent experience)
      • Effective communication and negotiation skills working with cross functional leadership team
      • Ability to think both strategically and tactically (from category strategy development to execution)

      Preferences

      • C.P.M. and/or CPIM certification desirable

      Work environment:

      • Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time.
      • Sitting, standing, and walking (95-100%)
      • Keyboarding (40-60%)
      • Viewing computer monitor, videophone, and cell phone requiring close vision (40-60%)
      • Lifting computers and other equipment.
      • Position may require some travel.
