Job Description

- Carlsberg purchasing policy and all relevant manuals
- Current and future market information on applicable commodities, Industry indexes, forecasts, and major material cost drivers.
- Identifying potential new sources of supply for cost savings, operations efficiency, and or business continuity planning.
- Oversee performance of inbound logistics and relationships with material supplier partners
- Category Strategies – Savings Initiative planning – implementation
- Continuously contracting and improving supplier agreements
- Supplier KPI’s and SLA’s as required
- Code of conduct/sustainability/supplier assessment tool
- Tendering practices.
- Monthly, quarterly, and or annual procurement reports.
- Travel as necessary.
- Management reporting to regional procurement and local management
- A business degree and or a Purchasing designation is highly preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience as a Procurement Manager in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Packaging (food, CPG Business) would be an asset.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, Word, Excel, PP)
- Drive, commitment, self-motivation and engaged.
- Good communication skills
- Strong contract negotiations skills

- Comprehensive knowledge of purchasing principles, tendering processes, supplier selection, supplier management, including relationship development with both suppliers and direct reports.
- Knowledge of basic raw material.
- Knowledge of and hands on experience with ERP systems for material purchases and reporting.
- In depth understanding of freight and logistical movement of inbound material as well as overseas logistics
- Proven leadership skills from past management experience.

Reports to: CEE Procurement Director, dotted line to ISC Director – Canada
Role Summary
To coordinate Direct and Indirect procurement for Canada. 80% of the suppliers for the Canada business are based in North America so this role will work with Carlsberg Group Procurement in some areas and have full responsibility for procurement in cases where there are no global partnerships or arrangements.
