- Lead and drive tendering activities including qualification, evaluation, negotiation and preparing contract award decisions for offshore wind projects for the Offshore Logistics category (transport and installation of foundations, cables & WTGs), ensuring best value and compliance with the Vattenfall objectives and principles
- Steer the project teams through the procurement process from design of tender until contract award
- Challenge and coach the project team in case of perceived over- or under specification of technical, commercial or legal requirements. Engage with the business at senior levels to ensure necessary level of co-operation
- Support development of Offshore Logistics category strategy
- Identify new and/or implement suitable procurement approaches to deliver Lowest Energy Cost, ensuring alignment with the defined Offshore Logistics category strategy
- Lead activities to negotiate and improve contract standards with key suppliers
- Support contract management activities in alignment with commercial contract managers
- Support negotiation of large claims and variation resolutions
- Support the development of our offshore wind procurement team, taking active participation in improvement initiatives within Procurement Wind
- You are open, active, positive and act in a safe way.

- You have demonstrable experience with a commercial/ procurement/contract law skillset and experience of Vessels for Cable, Wind turbine or Foundation Installation or similar procurement processes.
- You bring a minimum of three years’ experience in the offshore wind, oil & gas or vessel business.
- You have a good knowledge and understanding of contracts (ideally FIDIC, LOGIC and BIMCO)
- You have a very good understanding of people and culture in working across multiple business functions and locations.
- You are a co-operative team player with solid interpersonal skills.
- You have strong consultancy skills and able to support, advise, guide and challenge across all aspects of Procurement.
- You have a strong command of English, both verbally and written.

As the company’s ambitions for growth in renewable energy increases, the demand for procurement expertise grows. We are therefore looking for the right person to join our Procurement Offshore Projects team with full responsibility for Offshore Vessels within our Staff Function Procurement.
As a Procurement Manager Offshore Vessels you will be working with the Business Unit Offshore, in an outstanding commercial and international environment, you will have a significant impact on Vattenfall realizing its transition to a more sustainable energy portfolio by securing the necessary equipment and services at best value for the company.

You will be engaging and collaborating with the Foundation, Cables and Wind Turbine Installation Vessel supply chain, executives internally and externally, help developing and primarily executing procurement strategies as well as identifying novel market approaches to maximize the company’s profitability. You will be working in close collaboration with the Category Managers, Product managers & commercial managers from BU Offshore.

Location
Flexible, but base is in one of our core locations (Hamburg, Kolding, Berlin or Amsterdam). This position require significant amount of travel in peak times.
