      A Day in the Life:

      Collaborate closely with both local and global procurement teams to ensure supply continuity and monitor agreements to guarantee sourcing models are adhered to. Your expertise will be key in optimizing our packaging supply chain, contributing to our global success and growth. Be a part of a team that's fueling the energy of Monster worldwide!

      The Impact You'll Make:

      • Secure and analyze quotations, negotiate prices and terms, recommend suppliers based on capacity, cost, and quality, and manage relationships and vendor partnerships.
      • Monitor market conditions and recommend contracting positions where feasible. Analyze and report on commodity market updates such as pulp, paper, resin, and other commodity market updates/pricing impacts. Understand industry trends in materials like aluminum, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), high-density polyethylene
        (HDPE), glass, corrugate, paperboard and shrink and stretch packaging.
      • Ensure accurate updates of pricing information records due to fluctuations in pricing, manage cost reduction projects, analyze cost changes and purchase price variances, and assist Accounting in resolving price discrepancies.
      • Work closely with Co-Packers, Manufacturing, and Engineering to ensure packaging quality and supplier performance, support the resolution of regional and global supply and quality issues, and actively participate in resolving crisis-level issues.
      • Ensure claims are initiated and gather required data for filing claims with responsible parties.
      • Visit vendor offices and plants to assess capabilities, establish new vendor programs, and ensure vendors meet capacity and capability requirements.
      • Monitor logistics costs to ensure efficient and cost-effective purchasing, ensuring alignment with Monster's strategic goals.
      • Manage special projects such as promotional activities, ensuring they are executed effectively and align with business strategies.
      • Participate in high-level business teams to understand and align regional business strategies with global procurement and supply strategies and be actively involved in the product development process to ensure appropriate sourcing of packaging items.

      Who You Are:

      • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or related field preferred.
      • Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in a Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) company, beverage industry preferred
      • Additional Experience Desired: Between 3-5 years of experience in primary packaging procurement
      • Computer Skills Desired: Intermediate to advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. SAP Experience preferred.
      • Preferred Certifications: N/A
      • Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Understanding commodities and hedging tools.
      • Understanding of aluminum political and economic market conditions. Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. Able to manage process improvements projects related to the purchasing function.

      Monster Energy provides a competitive total compensation; this position has an annual estimated salary of $73,000 - $98,000. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
