      Policy, Risk & Governance Manager

      Flexible/Hybrid working options up to 4 days per week working from home

      Our functions are going through transformation and we're looking to change our offering to our stakeholders. The Procurement Policy, Risk & Governance lead is a critical new role within the Procurement team.

      The Procurement Policy, Risk & Governance Lead is a key role that will manage and support the end-to-end policy, risk and governance activities undertaken by Procurement. Liaising with Risk teams across the business, representing Procurement and driving compliance with the Procurement policies, standards, and processes.

      What you’ll do:

      • Responsible for understanding and applying Bupa's risk management strategy and internal controls framework within a third party risk management setting.

      • Lead a team of third-party risk management managers and specialists.

      • Act as subject matter expert for Supplier Policy, Risk and Governance activity, in a regulated environment by the Financial Conduct Authority, Prudential Regulation Authority and Central Bank of Ireland.

      • Develop, implement and embed new and existing standards and controls across the Procurement function and third party risk landscape to create a single point of expertise for all policy, risk and governance activity.

      • Support and advise the Procurement Business Partners in relation to internal and external risk factors and respond to the needs of the business in relation to third party risk and market disruption.

      • Provide regular support and guidance to the category teams in relation to Policy, Risk and Governance.

      • Understand and respond to current and emerging risks across the third-party landscape.

      • Lead internal audit activity and controls testing on behalf of Procurement.

      What you’ll bring:

      • Educated to degree level or equivalent

      • Previous management experience in a similar role

      • Experience working in both regulated and non regulated environments

      • A proven Policy, Risk and Governance background, with experience in managing supplier assurance and risk management frameworks

      • Demonstrate comprehension of the requirements set out in the FCA (SYSC 8/13) and PRA handbook and their requirements to 3 rd party expenditure.

      • Knowledge of supply chain processes and the tools and techniques used to improve them

      • An appetite to drive compliance and continuous improvement

      • Strong communicator with self & social awareness

      • Customer focused with the ability to shape policy, process and procedures and make it relevant for users
