What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage the contract life-cycle and supplier relationship building for medium to high criticality sourcing events
- Conduct research, develop sourcing strategies, and issue RFP packages for procurement activities
- Evaluate proposals, conduct supplier negotiations, and write recommendations for contract awards
- Support contract administration, scope negotiation, and participate in procurement meetings
- Mentor and oversee junior procurement personnel while providing backup support to the Project Procurement Manager
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in procurement or a similar field
- Ability to work independently and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in digital document approval platforms preferred
- Willingness to travel occasionally (25% or less) when required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience in lieu of a degree
- 3-7 years of related procurement experience, particularly in large industrial construction
- Experience interfacing with client and engineering entities
- Familiarity with multiple industrial market sectors
