- Develop and execute sales plans and goals to increase revenue, profit margin and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain and build current customer relationships while developing and building new opportunities.
- Strategize and cultivate supply opportunities by collaborating with external growers from different regions, aiming to expand sales through the utilization of available seasonal products.
- Support of market development for secondary product.
- Engagement with and development of new broker relationships.
- Regular engagement with Produce Production in daily operations including communication of sales plan to aid in product procurement efforts, as well as strategic initiative development and execution.
- Work with Produce Production to develop a sales and ad calendar based on expected crop availability.
- Assist with the preparation of annual program budget. Forecast profit, volume growth and other related goals as determined.
- Collaborate with Transportation Services to secure optimal freight solutions, while managing shipping expenses within budgetary guidelines.
- Daily engagement with Produce Warehouse group to track availability of inbound product as well as tracking outbound order fulfillment.
- Create and distribute sales summaries and sales reports during departmental meetings and on regular cycles.
- Documentation and maintenance of department processes.
- Tracking and maintaining market trends around pricing and availability.
- Maintain and manage online Produce portals utilized for customer sales, such as Procurant, iTrade, Salesforce, and FoodLogIQ.
- Assist with marketing and maintenance of product sell sheets as needed.
- Assist with new product development as needed.
- Foster positive relationships with relevant contacts in the larger OV Sales Force.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Minimum of 4 years produce sales and marketing experience required.
- Three years of experience in the produce industry including knowledge of typical movement, handling and product quality requirements strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of the organic food marketplace preferred.
- Negotiation and trade experience preferred.
- Motivated to maintain and increase trade knowledge through industry contacts and resources.
- Must be self-motivated and able to perform job under limited supervision.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Must have strong attention to detail and drive for accuracy.
- Working knowledge of Excel, Outlook & Word as well as familiarity with general business systems and databases.
- Occasional travel to attend trade shows or meet with customers.

Produce Sales Manager
Location - Thisrole is eligible to be performed remotely, however, if you reside within 100miles of Organic Valley offices in WI, you will be expected to collaborateonsite in a hybrid fashion for 4-8 days per month. If you reside outside of 100 miles, you willtravel in 4 times/year for intentional collaboration and connection.

Summary of RoleThe Produce Sales Manager willplay a pivotal role in driving and executing direct sales efforts within theProduce sector. This will include building and maintaining relationships withdistributors, brokers, retailers, independent buyers and suppliers throughoutour shipping regions. Additionally, thisposition will be responsible for accurate and timely order entry, ordertracking, allocating, communicating fulfillment to customers, as well asnegotiating and tracking customer credits when necessary.

Base salary range: $80,018.00 - $107,380.00 per year
This salary rangeis exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also includeincentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. Ifyou are hired at CROPP, your final base salary compensation will be determinedbased on factors such as skills, education, and/orexperience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity andconsider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any finaloffer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role shouldexpect to be at the lower end of the salary range and hiring at the maximum of the salary rangeis not typical.
