- Lead and develop a team of local category specialists (Product & Packaging Technologists & Development Chefs) to provide culinary & category technology expertise
- Introduce New (IN) innovation, Renovation & customisation of products
- Support ideation & Consumer Insight work
- Support business Sustainability projects for both ingredients, packaging, and transport to improve / reduce carbon footprint
- Support sensory panels, content, and concept development through innovation hub development chefs
- Provide expert support during Industrialisation and commercial start up
- Support implementation of Manufacturing Standards (NWSM)
- Implement Category Competencies into the factory / Co-Man
- Deliver process and cost optimisation projects
- Perform local recipe and material management activities for the category
- Technical education background, University degree or equivalent (e.g. Food Science, Process Engineering, Food Engineering, Packaging Engineering)
- Solid category experience in Operations and R&D
- A solid food industry experience (Production Manager or similar)
- I&R Experience, Product Development Specialist, Application Group Specialist in the category
- Project Management experience involving a range of projects of varying size and complexity
- Line management: proven capability of developing and leading people
- Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams (with or without direct reports)

The team at Rhodes are looking for a Product and Packaging Development Manager to join the team. You will lead and coordinate projects and initiatives with the team to deliver business objectives. You’re your expertise you will remove roadblocks for project teams and escalate project challenges in a timely manner to avoid projects being derailed or delayed. This is a 12-month contract opportunity.
