- Performs standard computations or analysis.
- Performs simple to moderately complex design and project tasks while being directed by objective rather than being directed at the task level.
- Prepares project documents.
- Performs research and investigations.
- Designs and conducts experiments and analyzes and interprets data.
- Formulates and solves problems that require a moderate level of technical knowledge and/or skillset
- Aids in build and manufacturing transfer activities on behalf of PD group.
- Applies broad knowledge of principles and practices in a specific practice area to solve moderately complex problems
- Works on multiple projects of small to moderate size or portions of major projects as a contributor
- Progress from acquiring limited knowledge to developing broad knowledge and skills in a specific practice area.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects with few complex features.
- Progress from exercising limited judgment on work details and application to work demonstrating judgment that leads to conclusions.
- Collaboratively apply and use judgment to determine adaptations in methods.
- Work on small projects or portions of larger projects.
- The annualized base salary range for this role is $71,700 to $112,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.

- The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle, feel, and be able to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Hologic's Bolder Surgical ("Bolder") facility in Louisville, CO, is seeking a Product Development Engineer possessing technical judgment and a deep understanding of customer centric design to support new product development from concept to production.
So what does this role involve?
This position is responsible for performing the following tasks as assigned while receiving close supervision on unusual or difficult problems and general oversight on all aspects of work:
Required Education and Experience
You should have a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or a related field with research and development experience in the medical device industry. We also require a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the health and/or business communities.
You must be versatile and flexible to work within an entrepreneurial company. It is essential for you to be action and detail oriented with an aptitude for technical learning. Fast and accurate communication to team members and management is a must, enabling quick decision making. You must have strong functional and technical skills, problem solving skills and a drive for results.
