      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct high-level statewide product stewardship and plastics policy development and analysis
      - Represent the agency as the statewide Plastics Lead in state and national organizations
      - Participate in legislative activities, including reviewing and providing feedback on draft legislation
      - Lead implementation of post-consumer recycled content laws and manage non-compliance issues
      - Develop policy recommendations for local governments and legislators regarding plastic management

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Ten years of experience in environmental-based work or related fields
      - Experience in product stewardship, solid waste management, and recycling systems
      - Knowledge of state and federal environmental laws and legislative procedures
      - Proven ability to develop and analyze policy, legislation, and technical guidance
      - Strong communication skills for writing, presentations, and outreach

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Knowledge of solid waste laws and product stewardship policies
      - Experience developing technical reports and outreach materials
      - Ability to analyze data and identify trends in environmental issues
      - Skills in negotiation and conflict resolution with diverse stakeholders
      - Familiarity with emerging technologies in plastics management
