Job Description

- Responsible for managing a production area including the control and organisation of all build activities to ensure targets are achieved across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People and Environment dimensions.
- Strong focus and drive on quality performance ensuring internal and external quality metrics are achieved and robust action plans are in place for the continuing improvement and maintenance of results to quality targets.
- Manage activities to develop the team ensuring every employee has access to Learning and Development, engagement and the communications required to deliver the Business Plan objectives and corporate alignment.
- Achieve Productivity targets year on year through the application of Lean toolset.
- To consistently deliver Safety standards by ensuring all safety metrics are achieved, risks identified and mitigated, and corrective action implemented for any accidents.
- Contribute to the management of the cost budget and continually seek efficiencies in productivity to reduce COQ and hours per car.
- Contribute to the development of the operational and strategic plans IBP to improve the current facility and process.
- Review volume capacity, identify and eliminate bottle necks through close management of robust plans.
- Ensure Integrated Production System, Manufacturing Quality Operating Standard and Launch Quality Operating System processes are adhered to and comply to audit processes.
- Represent the business area at management forums as required.
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested.
- Relevant experience of Production Management including consistent delivery of productivity targets.
- Experience of managing multi-skilled teams in multi-shift operations.
- Knowledge and understanding of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
- Demonstrable experience in the application of a logical approach to Problem Solving.
- Proven ability to work within tight deadlines & be able to manage and prioritise multiple activities simultaneously.
- Experience and working knowledge of Health and Safety Audits and ergonomics including risk assessments.
- Ability to make short presentations to work groups and senior management.
- Experience of working in partnership with a Trade Union.

This is an exciting time to join Halewood Plant’s Production Management Team as we bring to life the Reimagine Strategy with the production of our future electrified vehicles into Halewood Plant as well as bringing Our Purpose and Creators Code to life – supporting our teams to live the exceptional with soul.As a Production Manager you will be aligned to a technology area and will be responsible for the performance of the operational team to deliver all production targets by ensuring volume, quality and associated scorecard metrics such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People and Environment are met.
You’ll interact with different teams and stakeholders to demonstrate a commitment to people development and contribute to future vision of the business.
This role will manage the day-to-day production, interfacing with maintenance and engineering functions over multi-shift operations and you will play a key role to help transform the workplace experience and business performance through a shared team purpose and striving for creator code role model behaviours.
