Explore this opportunity with Psomas and apply today!About being a Project Engineer / Civil Engineer - Site Development/Public WorksAs a Project Engineer / Civil Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Team in our San Diego, CA office, you will utilize your expertise and technical abilities to collaborate and contribute to the planning and design activities for a broad range of project assignments dealing with site development, roadway and right of way improvements, hydrology & hydraulics, utilities and more for public, private and institutional clients, while working in a team-orientated setting and interacting with clients. The San Diego Engineering team is dynamic group of seasoned and emerging professionals. As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting, impactful and high-profile projects that prioritize public benefit, safety, accessibility, and sustainability.Responsibility Highlights for our Project Engineer / Civil Engineer - Site Development/Public Works* Perform research and due diligence needed to develop conceptual engineering solutions for various types of projects.* Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants and internal engineering, survey and environmental staff to adhere to project requirements, schedule and budget* Transform concept designs into quality construction drawings and technical specifications* Coordinate the design process while utilizing various software and programs* Conduct independent engineering calculations* Prepare technical reports and studies to support engineering design* Coordinate and process private and public projects with various agencies for planning and design approvals* Train and coach technical staff and coordinate with them for design efforts* Self-motivated to identify necessary project tasks and work in a team environment to achieve completionMinimum Qualifications to be our Project Engineer / Civil Engineer - Site Development/Public Works* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline* Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of California* 5+ years of experience with skills to navigate multi-disciplined engineering projects* Proficient in civil design utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D.* Strong technical knowledge with proven experience in preparing technical reports, designs, construction documents, specifications, and computationsHighlighted Benefits for our Project Engineer / Civil Engineer - Site Development/Public WorksEnjoy hybrid and flexible work schedules, an inclusive benefit package providing medical, dental, and vision coverage for employee and qualifying family members, a 401(k) with immediate vested company match and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan that is 100% paid by Psomas!* A competitive salary!
