- Put in place suitable commercial and contractual arrangements.
- Build, manage and motivate the Project Team.
- Manage, improve and control project personnel. Project Managers expect conflict and must implement processes to keep personnel motivated and effective.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with the project stakeholders, especially with the Client and Project Sponsor.
- Prepare and maintain project information. PMs must continually review and update the Project Management Plan by translating and progressively elaborate high-level information into detailed plans throughout the project life cycle
- Identify and evaluate risks; determine and manage remedial actions.
- Monitor progress against plans. Project Managers monitor and control the work of producing the products, services and results the project was undertaken to produce.
- Implement "Project Control" processes and procedures. Project Managers expect change and must implement processes to ensure change is managed and controlled.
- Prepare, review and present accurate project reports and plans to all stakeholders in accordance with planned formats and intervals.
- Keep work in progress (WIP) to a minimum (unbilled transactions); keep invoicing up to date and payments on schedule
- Identify and follow-up on opportunities for further work in consultation with Sponsors.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with Professional Engineer License (any state)
- A minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Proven management experience with a large team / project (500k+)
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector
- Must have a working knowledge of AWS codes, ASME Codes, ACI, PCI, and coatings.
- Experience working on bridge and rail projects.
