What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build and maintain relationships with wastewater treatment plants and partners statewide
- Coordinate onboarding and ongoing engagement of treatment plants in the wastewater surveillance program
- Schedule and track wastewater sample collection and delivery to laboratory partners
- Maintain accurate data across multiple tracking and reporting systems
- Develop documentation and standard operating procedures to support program operations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in public health, environmental health, biology, microbiology, environmental science, or a closely related field AND two (2) years of experience in public health or environmental programs, or five (5) years of relevant experience without a degree
- Experience in health services, public health, or laboratory settings
- Proficiency in coordinating logistics for programs or projects
- Knowledge of data management practices in databases or tracking systems
- Ability to review data for accuracy and resolve data issues
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of environmental or wastewater systems
- Experience with laboratory procedures and microbiology terminology
- Familiarity with structured data management systems like REDCap or LIMS
- Experience supporting grant-funded public health projects
- Ability to develop training materials and partner guidance documents
