What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and execute cohesive press releases, creative storylines, and pitches for various brands
- Identify trends that brands should capitalize on through custom pitches and storylines
- Maintain and organize a PR database while responding to media information requests
- Analyze various niches and verticals, including competition, to inform PR strategies
- Engage and interact with audiences through social media and maintain relationships with content creators
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Prior experience with PR and Social Media
- Flawless written and spoken English
- Ability to write and distribute press releases
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
- Availability to work 40 hours per week from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm PST
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Journalism background or media training
- Experience with services like HARO and MuckRack
- Published content on authoritative sites
- Great interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with leveraging platforms like Reddit and Quora in PR strategies
