      The Purchasing Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing procurement processes, ensuring employees have the necessary equipment and resources. This position is responsible for processing purchase requests, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting acquisitions, projects, and invoice routing while aligning with organizational goals and deadlines.

      Location: Lithia Home Office (on-site)

      Primary Duties (Responsibilities)

      • Manage vendor accounts, purchase requests, and procurement documentation.
      • Ensure all IT and operational invoices are reviewed and processed efficiently.
      • Coordinate business reviews, RFP/RFQ meetings, and acquisitions in collaboration with stakeholders.
      • Maintain supplier data, track inventory, and oversee procurement-related programs.
      • Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal teams and vendors.
      • Assist in managing procurement workflows, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
      • Administer defined Asset Management procedures for IT Hardware
      • Support project-based purchasing and meet established deadlines, as applicable.
      • Train and support team members on procurement systems and best practices.
      • Ensure continuous improvement in purchasing operations and process optimization.
      • Organize Shipping, Post, and Tracking activities for company hardware.
      • Perform additional duties as assigned.

      Qualifications

      Skills

      • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and invoicing.
      • Ability to learn and apply IT and technical procurement concepts.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
      • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

      Education

      • High School Diploma or equivalent required
      • 4-year degree or related field preferred

      Experience

      • At least 1 year of experience in a purchasing role, preferred.
      • Experience with acquisitions, invoice routing, and procurement best practices preferred.
