We are recruiting a QA Team Manager (Batch Release) for Pall Life Sciences, who is responsible for supporting the maintenance and effectiveness of the site QMS within the shop floor through direct management of all functions within the QA Batch Release department. You will be responsible for all products released from Pall Ilfracombe. You will have the opportunity to lead and develop a team of 15 associates.

As QA Team Manager (Batch Release), you will have the following responsibilities.

Leading your team

• Performance and Development management
• Daily management of task allocation ensuring On Time Delivery (OTD) is maintained
• Key Performance Indicator (KPI) setting and management aligned to organisational objectives

Daily Management

• Ensure the release process is being maintained and issues resolved timely
• Daily GEMBA walks ensuring evidence is used to manage daily tasks
• Management of NCR process and visual management board
• Collate and present daily KPI metrics for the daily management meeting
• Internal audit programme is being maintained and effective

Operational Management

• Manage NCR processes; Facilitate the closures of NCRs in a timely manner, assure root cause analysis and the effective implementation of robust CAPAs.
• CAPA Verification of Effectiveness to assure no recurrence.
• Continuously work to ensure QA processes are efficient and functional to meet Pall Ilfracombe requirements
• Provide Manufacturing Quality Trend Charts/Analysis and suggest/implement improvements based on the trends and lean manufacturing principles, where applicable initiate Kaizen events.
• Monitor industrial trends and customer audit findings to ensure Pall Ilfracombe is meeting customer expectations

The successful candidate will have a degree in a related field or equivalent experience in Quality. You will have a background in manufacturing in a quality advisory role. You will have a good understanding of statistical improvement tools and lean manufacturing techniques. You will also have good organisational, interpersonal, influencing and IT skills with the ability to create and communicate clear and precise reports. You will have experience in Systematic & Methodical Investigation and Root Cause Analysis. You will be ISO9001 Lead Auditor qualified or equivalent.
