      Vertiv in Anderson, SC is looking for a Quality Manager. Directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority for the ISO 9001 registered quality management system and other assigned systems. Leads a staff in executing document control, receiving inspection, calibration, supplier development, process/product auditing, packaging design, return analysis, corrective actions, and general production support.

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Develop and maintain a quality management system in compliance with corporate directives.
      • Develop and maintain assigned management systems in compliance with corporate directives.
      • Schedule and conduct internal audits as required to comply with assigned management system requirements
      • Collect and record all production quality data on a daily basis.
      • Compile, chair and record an annual management review process.
      • Publish monthly KPI charts, to include returns, rework, on-time delivery, productivity, and first pass yield.
      • Review, audit, train, and provide direction to the function of ISO 9001 certification and compliance.
      • Use specialized quality knowledge to coordinate and initiate new quality methods to meet current and future customer requirements, planned corporate objectives, and improved production capabilities and standards.
      • Manage customer and sales problems/requests, to evaluate technical solutions to product performance in the field. Initiate studies and testing to gather data for production evaluations.
      • Manage the complete RMA process, liaise with customers to ensure closure to the customer’s satisfaction.
      • Manage all external audits from customers.
      • Instruct and follow up on information and documentation of statistics and reporting for database programs.
      • Work with Engineering and Production to review production process variables, problem areas, required inspection tooling, and required documentation.
      • Maintain the system to control nonconforming outputs. Initiate, implement, and verify corrective actions.
      • Perform supplier audits to improve supplier quality and delivery performance.
      • Produce and distribute 8D reports as required.
      • Manage ISO 9001 requirements and corrective actions for inspection and testing, inspection measuring and test equipment, inspection and test status, and control of quality records.
      • Work to reduce inspection and increase operator/setup involvement in the quality improvement process.
      • Adhere to quality and safety standards.
      • Ensure assigned responsibilities comply with all legislation and regulations.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      • 5+ years related experience in quality and/or manufacturing.
      • 2+ years in supervision/management and working with quality management systems.
      • Good communication skills, both oral and written
      • ASQ CQE preferred
      • MS Office and ERP systems experience
      • Ability to develop and coach a diverse team
      • Knowledge of ISO and Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma
      • Data driven individual
