      Overview

      Snap-on Power Tools in Murphy, NC is looking for a dynamic individual to join our management team as Rapid Continuous Improvement (RCI) Manager. This position is a key member of our management team and reports directly to the Plant Manager. The successful candidate will join a team of seasoned manufacturing executives at this award-winning facility. You will lead a diverse team of associates, including electrical and mechanical engineers, that drive process improvements within the facility. In addition to an engineering background, you should also have experience with project management and the ability to lead multiple projects at the same time.

      Responsibilities

      • Promote Rapid Continuous Improvement (RCI) throughout the organization focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
      • Manage projects in a manner consistent with and in support of Snap-on safety philosophy
      • Facilitate cross functional RCI events with participants of all levels and business units within the organization.
      • Manage the follow-up actions from RCI events
      • Project Management
      • Perform root cause analysis and implement steps for resolution related to safety, quality and production.
      • Identify opportunities within the business to drive RCI initiatives
      • Interact with hourly workforce, management and support staff to optimize continuous improvement processes/procedures and operational efficiency.
      • Develop, review and maintain performance standards through a variety of measures.

      Qualifications

      • Engineering Degree from an accredited university
      • Project Management Certification is preferred/experience is required
      • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is preferred but not required
      • Previous robotics experience is preferred
      • Ability to provide strong leadership and guidance to your team
      • Ability to foster an inclusive environment within your team and between departments
      • Change Agent
      • Previous leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
      • A positive attitude that encourages teamwork and collaboration
