What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee and monitor the workload and performance of the rating team, providing guidance and support
- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and participate in the hiring process for team members
- Audit new business and renewal policies for compliance and quality control
- Support Underwriting with miscellaneous duties, including filings and system error reports
- Provide and monitor training on underwriting support processes for new team members
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Minimum of five years of commercial lines insurance experience, including rating or related experience
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Thorough knowledge of property and casualty underwriting terminology and procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent customer service abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate degree in business or a related field
- Associate in General Insurance (AINS) designation
- Previous experience in a leadership role within the insurance industry
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and prioritizing skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
