What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Determine liability by gathering and analyzing relevant facts, utilizing applicable procedures
- Verify policy coverage and determine if losses fall within coverage limits
- Participate in Risk Management Agency reviews for operational integrity and quality assurance
- Maintain confidentiality of claims information to protect the employer's reputation
- Stay updated on industry trends through educational opportunities and professional networking
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in crop insurance and claims adjusting
- Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire
- Reliable personal transportation and the ability to travel within the assigned territory
- Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet, and lift 25 to 50 lbs
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
