What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform daily reconciliation of General Ledger accounts for venture capital fund transactions, ensuring precision and accuracy
- Analyze and resolve complex discrepancies in fund accounting records, escalating significant issues to leadership promptly
- Support and adjust portfolio company and investor accounts while maintaining high standards of accuracy
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and recommend procedural enhancements to optimize fund accounting processes
- Maintain and develop relationships with internal stakeholders and portfolio companies through effective communication
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Proven expertise in reconciling General Ledger accounts, ideally in a venture capital or fund accounting context
- Minimum of 3+ years of work experience with VC Fund Accounting teams
- Minimum of 2+ years of Venture Capital experience
- Strong understanding of fund accounting documents, including capital calls, distributions, and investment transactions
- Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in venture capital fund accounting or private equity
- Familiarity with fund administration or investment accounting software
- Ability to adapt to changing processes and demonstrate transferable skills in a dynamic setting
