What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Download, verify, and process shipping records using official Government webpages and electronic systems
- Maintain, retrieve, and organize files, ensuring accurate tracking and record-keeping
- Conduct quality control inventories of paper and electronic files
- Prepare files for transfer or retirement to federal records centers
- Resolve discrepancies in manifest records through communication with industry users
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Minimum of 6 months of on-the-job experience using computer terminals and electronic document management tools
- Must possess a valid driver's license or temporary license
- Background check is required
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience as an EPA Records Clerk is desired, but not required
- Knowledge of filing procedures and techniques
- Ability to interpret and apply records policy in various situations
- Proficiency in typing and strong organizational skills
- Experience working with government staff and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
