      This position is located at Aquatics Training Center and Replica Pool.

      Duties


      • Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment to ensure all customers and co-workers are treated respectfully. Be an enthusiastic problem solver.
      • Ensure all certifications stay current and attend all required courses and in service training required by Fort Bliss and MWR.
      • Manage staff according to availability, schedules and shifts to provide the best coverage and budget intentions according to season, events, and daily operations.
      • Take immediate response on all maintenance needs by notifying the supervisor or pool operator on duty or calling in a work order if needed and document in logbook.
      • Help with the planning and execution of weekly and monthly in-service trainings.

      Requirements


      • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
      • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
      • A one year probationary period may be required.
      • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
      • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation
      • Must have current health assessment which documents good physical health, and free from communicable disease IAW current Army Policy.
      • Continuous exposure to sun and prolonged periods of high temperature and humidity
      • In case of exposure to infectious disease, incumbent is required to obtain the Hepatitis B vaccination series within a 24-hour period.
      • Lifeguards must have good vision (corrected vision if necessary) while on duty to effectively recognize all emergencies, incidents and rule breaking.
      • Incumbent is required to follow environmental safeguards and wear personal protective equipment.
      • May be assigned to irregular duties or when needed for special recreational events and related requirements.
      • Work hours may involve weekend, weekdays, holidays and night duty.
      • Fifteen(15) year old lifeguards must comply with the restriction of the DOL Child Labors Law (Jan 17, 2006).
      • In addition, the incumbent may be subject to additional background checks if required to have regular and recurring contact with children.
      • All required certifications must be kept current.

      Qualifications


      QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
      **Resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed under the minimum qualifications criteria
      Must possess the following certificates:

      - American Red Cross "Lifeguard" certification or nationally recognized equivalent (i.e. Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Certification).

      - American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional Rescuer" (CPR-Pro) certification or nationally recognized equivalent (i.e. Ellis & Associates (CPR) Certification).

      - American Red Cross "Automated External Defibrillator" (AED) certification or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Ellis & Associates AED certification.
