- Collaborate with site management to identify recruiting needs and clarify job specifications, required skills, qualifications, and position requirements.
- Review, verify, and ensure accuracy of job postings to confirm alignment with approved hiring needs prior to sourcing.
- Source qualified applicants through advertising, job boards, career fairs, online platforms, and social/professional networks.
- Participate in hiring events and engage with external sourcing partners (e.g., local hiring centers, driving schools, and similar organizations) to increase the talent pipeline.
- Utilize targeted sourcing strategies and specialized job boards, as needed, to increase application flow for hard'to'fill roles.
- Establish and maintain an applicant pipeline to support current and anticipated hiring needs, providing regular updates and feedback to stakeholders.
- Screen applications and conduct initial candidate screenings to assess qualifications, job fit, and overall suitability.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and manage candidate communication throughout the interview and hiring process.
- Conduct background checks, verifications, and maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system.
- Partner closely with the onboarding team to ensure smooth employee transition from hiring to onboarding.
- Promote a business partner and ownership mindset to the team to prioritize customer service excellence, adoption and resilience to change and continuous improvement.
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in recruiting, staffing, talent acquisition, and/or HR operations preferred.
- Experience recruiting in a high-volume transportation and/or logistics company strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to source candidates across multiple channels and report on recruiting metrics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience implementing and managing applicant tracking and/or HRIS systems is a plus.
- Experience using or willingness to learn approved AI/LLM and automation tools is a plus.
- Must be flexible and adaptive to the ever-changing market and Lazer Logistics objectives and goals.
- Solutions oriented and intuitive critical thinking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ethical and integrity code.
- Ability to collaborate and work well in a fast-paced/dynamic team environment.
