  Job Description

  UTZ Quality Foods is seeking a Regional Distribution Manager to join our team. Reporting to the VP, Transportation & Distribution, the position will be responsible for the operations of multiple distribution centers in the South/Southwest. This position will ensure seamless logistics, optimal resource utilization, and the highest standards of warehouse management. You will be responsible for leading a team of Warehouse Managers and their respective teams, while collaborating closely with cross-functional departments to drive overall operational excellence. This position will work remotely.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for multiple distribution centers to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to Warehouse Managers and their teams.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, training, and professional development.
  • Oversee resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and technology, to ensure smooth operations. Manage budgets, control costs, and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Streamline warehouse operations through process optimization, automation, and implementation of best practices.
  • Identify and lead initiatives to enhance productivity, accuracy, and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure and accident-free work environment.
  • Develop and implement inventory control strategies to minimize stockouts, overstock, and shrinkage.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and other partners to ensure timely and efficient inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to achieve cost savings and service level agreements.
  • Generate regular reports on warehouse performance and present findings to senior management.
  • Foster effective communication channels within the warehouse team and with other departments

  Requirements

  • Leadership/Development – proven success in managing a large team including employee development
  • Full understanding of major supply chain, logistics, and basic manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to transform data into insights with a proven track record for continuous improvement.
  • Essential to have effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong negotiation skills, the ability to initiate/implement process improvements
  • Requires strong analytical and critical thinking, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, execute operations, and impact change in a dynamic environment.
  • Excel in motivating direct reports to obtain maximum team performance.
