      An opportunity has arisen for a Regional HR Manager to join us on a full time, permanent contract to cover Yorkshire & surrounding areas, to provide HR support and guidance to nominated sites within designated area as directed on a range of people related matters, including first line advice, redundancy and TUPE, relevant consultation processes and employee relations.

      Pay, benefits and more:

      We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £45,000 per annum plus company car car allowance. We also a whole host of fantastic benefits (see below).

      What you’ll do on a typical day:

      • Support, coach and advise key stakeholders on all HR issues including discipline, grievance, absence management and performance improvement
      • Deal with Trade Union representatives where appropriate (consultations, termination meetings etc)
      • Contribute effective recruitment, selection and induction processes, involving the recruitment team where appropriate
      • Co-ordinate and assist the HR activity required to ensure that TUPE and Redundancy consultations are executed in line with statutory and company requirements
      • Manage the dismissal/high level grievance appeal process by ensuring that a full review of process and documentation has been undertaken prior to final outcome being sent
      • Support the development of operational management competence levels of middle level managers in HR related issues across own area
      • Conduct regular and effective site HR reviews across own area
      • Produce monthly statistical report for own area Director
      • Actively encourage use of all documents and guidance in Redworld/QMS
      • Ensure company standards, policies and procedures are effective and are implemented on a consistent basis across the business
      • Provide input into HR projects and changes in HR policy and practice
      • Provide consistent and professional HR Services in line with Company objectives
      • Complete ad hoc duties that supports both the function and the business

      What you need to succeed at XPO:

      • Up to date understanding of employment law
      • Understanding of TUPE and its implications to 3rd party service providers
      • Understanding of restructure and redundancy processes
      • Knowledge of the Transport industry would be desirable
      • Excellent communication and influencing skills
      • Excellent presentation and training skills
      • Ability to investigate and solve problems quickly and effectively.
      • Ability to work autonomously and effectively under high levels of pressure
      • Flexible with regards to working extra hours and UK travel as and when required.
      • Preferably CIPD qualified or working towards
      • Dealing with Trade Union negotiation desirable
      • Experience working in FMCG/Logistics/Retail environment
