Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations and individuals involved in the entrepreneurial ecosystem in order to promote BDC's credibility, image and notoriety
Be active within the underserved communities by getting involved with associations and business organizations and understanding their main issues in order to offer them the necessary support related to our products and services
Maintain excellent customer service to the communities
Keep abreast of key economic trends that are likely to impact the underserved entrepreneurs.
Internally educate and engage all BDC client-facing employees and the operational support team to fully understand the importance and nuances of the strategy to create and maintain a strong client and prospect base
Contribute to the growth of BDC's strategy by participating in the development of tailored solutions
Ensure the continuous dissemination and coordination of information and actions to inclusive entrepreneurship champions, for the benefit of customers and prospects.
Work in collaboration with account managers to identify new business opportunities.
Use your network of contacts to receive business opportunities.
Work collaboratively with different communities to help the Canadian economy.
With excellent interpersonal skills, you are known for your sense of initiative and your sense of influence.
More than 5 years of experience in a financial institution as an account manager, loan writer or any other experience deemed relevant.
Ability to analyze financial statements, synthesize and communicate effectively
Strong leadership abilities, inspiring employees to become diversity champions.
Interest in SME issues and economic development policies and practices.
Bachelor’s degree in administration or any field deemed equivalent.
Excellent ability to speak and write in English.
Valid driver's license.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Our goal is to ensure that all entrepreneurs across Canada have the tools they need and can access the people and programs required to successfully grow their businesses.
As Regional manager inclusive entrepreneurship, you will work closely with all Partners, Sponsors and Champions, will lead the design and implementation of the Client Diversity Go-To-Market Plan and client diversity segment. The focus of this role is on acquiring new Medium and Large (M&L) leads across dedicated geographic locations whilst leading a client diversity segment.
The goal of this role is to build relationships and position BDC as a partner of choice for the underserved entrepreneurs
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
1. Orientation and connection with clients within the underserved communities
2. Support BDC employees to become champions of the inclusive entrepreneurship.
3. Conduct business development to help underserved entrepreneurs achieve their ambitions.
