      LOCATION INFORMATION:

      This position will support several locations in the following California cities: Carmichael, Elk Grove, Folsom, Lodi, Rancho Cordova, Sacramento, and Shingle Springs. The ideal candidate will currently reside within or around these locations.


      JOB SUMMARY:

      The Regional Programming Manager will be responsible for the fitness programming for a designated group of In-Shape clubs. Responsibilities include facilitating auditions for new talent, evaluating Instructors, Coaches and Trainers performance and providing feedback to operations management. Additionally, the Regional Programming Manager will provide recommendations for any changes or adjustments to the programming mix for clubs in their designated area. This role will partner with the General Manager and Area Manager in their designated area to optimize scheduling to maintain budgets, drive performance and increase member engagement. Creating strong relationships internally and externally is critical in this role.

      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – WHAT YOU WILL DO:

      Drive Business Results:

      • Review programming offering and adjust class mix in partnership with General Managers and Area Managers to create balance and diversity as needed
      • For example, freestyle or choregraphed, format categories, class times and member demographics and interests.
      • Raquet Sports (RQT) class or clinic offerings
      • Small Group Training (VTL) Training formats
      • Recruit new talent and conduct instructor, coach and trainer auditions based on club needs
      • Evaluate Instructors, Coaches and Trainers periodically throughout the year and provide feedback and coaching based on observations and opportunity for upskilling
      • Inspire and lead a diverse team that is part-time and at different club locations
      • Create internal programming, formats, and continuing education opportunities.
      • Develop and facilitate programming, format and continuing education learning materials
      • Facilitate instructor, coach and trainer educational training in-person and virtually to provide best in class offerings
      • Manage class schedules to align with usage and revenue streams for RQT and VTL to maintain healthy profit margins.
      • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

      Deliver the Member Experience:

      • Partner with General Manager to ensure Instructors, Coaches and Trainers are meeting/exceeding member expectations
      • Plan and execute club fitness events for acquisition and retention
      • Partner with General Managers to host RQT Tournaments, leagues and socials
      • Participates in maintaining court sports, group fitness studios, and VTL Training spaces for safety and maintenance of equipment and facility.
      • Assist in finding class coverage as needed
      • Gather and evaluate member feedback and provide recommendations to leadership
      • Deliver a Welcoming, Engaging, Intuitive, and Motivating Experience for our team members and members

      Operational Excellence:

      • Partner with General Manager on evaluating class participation and class capacity to determine optimum member offering while maintaining payroll efficiency, course correcting as needed
      • Ensure ongoing schedule changes and updates are submitted on time
      • Mentor and coach Instructors, Coaches and Trainers on class formatting to ensure consistency in member experience and operational excellence
      • Utilize standardized audition feedback form to ensure consistency in hiring practices
      • Assist a with onboarding needs of new Instructors, Coaches and Trainers to ensure all information is communicated for individual’s success as needed
      • Follow and adhere to our #OneTeam approach on club cleanliness and safety standards outlined in our Cleaning standards playbook. This includes keeping the club clean & sanitized (free of trash, equipment picked up and organized, and wiped down with sanitizing agent).

      • Provides in club support when needed
      • Respond to and resolves concerns from team members or members ensuring our members needs are met and company guidelines are followed
      • Analyzes, interprets, and follows company policies (written, oral, diagram and or schedule form) to ensure safety of our club and team members
      • Attends and participates in required meetings and trainings as needed

      Requirements

      REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS – WHO YOU ARE::

      • 3-5 years of experience in progressive fitness, group exercise and small group training management preferred
      • Passion for fitness/health/wellness
      • Demonstrated ability in leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
      • Ability to work collaboratively with internal company departments and business partners
      • Prior experience in multi-unit program development and management, event planning, marketing or sales, preferably within the fitness, retail, or hospitality industries
      • Ability to influence without direct authority, be comfortable with coordinating various opinions and personalities, develop trust and mutual respect with various levels within the organization.
      • Self-sufficient, self-motivated, results-oriented and able to execute in a professional, fast paced, creative, team-oriented atmosphere.
      • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work professionally and effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
      • Ability to work with interruptions, changing priorities and a busy work environment with tight deadlines.
      • Self-motivated with high energy with a positive attitude
      • Self-managing with the ability to work independently to accomplish tasks and projects.
      • Displays good judgment, confidentiality and diplomacy in handling important company information and communicating with others.
      • Ability to manage time, resources, and communication with team members, members and operations partners.
      • Ability to work with team members at all levels of the organization with physical locations across multiple states.
      • High regard and propensity for safety
      • Willing and able to work a flexible shift: evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
      • Current CPR or ability to pass CPR certification within 60 days of hire date
      • Significant travel is required for this position and may include overnight travel
      • Lifeguard Certified (if teaching aqua formats)

      WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

      While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to walk and stand up to 8 hours/day and/or sitting for extended period of time. Team Members may be exposed to cleaning chemicals or airborne particles and will be required to wear designated PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as directed. Team Members are occasionally required to use hands and fingers for handle or feel; occasional reach, push and pulling with arms and hands; occasional climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and occasional reach and twist, including side-to-side movements. The team member may be required to occasionally lift, carry or move up to 25 pounds and may seldom be required to lift, carry or move 26-50 pounds.
