What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Improve the quality and completeness of clinical documentation through reviews and modifications
- Collaborate with Physicians and nursing staff to ensure accurate documentation for reimbursement
- Conduct ongoing follow-up reviews to clarify documentation in patient records
- Monitor documentation against quality indicators and address compliance issues
- Educate team members on clinical documentation and coding methodologies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Current RN Licensure in the State of Georgia
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in professional nursing
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Familiarity with ICD10 coding conventions and DRG coding optimization strategies
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CCDS or CDIP certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or additional education in Finance, Healthcare regulations, and coding
- Experience in Healthcare Utilization and Revenue Management
- Demonstrated leadership skills and interpersonal abilities
