A bit about the job:
The purpose of this role is to support our corporate customers with their absent employees in order to facilitate a safe, timely and durable return to work. Working within our Group Income Protection claims team, you will be able to use an evidence based, biopsychosocial approach to telephonically evaluate the nature of a customer’s symptoms and functional restrictions which have come about as a result of a variety of medical conditions.
You will be able to identify potential obstacles and consider appropriate intervention pathways to help people recover and overcome such barriers to achieve a successful return to work. This will involve utilising our supplier network to help in an individual’s recovery and may also include negotiating and designing bespoke return to work plans with absent employees, HR teams, line managers, occupational health teams and other relevant health professionals.
You will be required to develop a detailed understanding of our rehabilitation partner network to best identify the most appropriate and effective form of treatment that we may be able to provide given the nature of the medical condition.
You will act as an advocate for the employee throughout, taking the Equality Act into consideration at all times, while continuing to finely balance the needs of our corporate customers and the commercial implications of each individual claim.
Due to the nature of this role, full time training will be completed onsite for a minimum of 12 weeks.
