What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage all billing and collection activities for assigned fee-for-service and third-party facilities, including Medicare and Medi-Cal/Medicaid
- Stay updated on CPT coding changes and communicate updates to relevant parties
- Utilize advanced automated billing systems to perform job duties effectively
- Conduct occasional travel to locations where the employer operates or plans to operate
- Operate independently, applying extensive reimbursement experience and judgment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of five (5) years of prior medical billing experience or two (2) years of college plus one (1) year of healthcare experience
- Extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal/Medicaid, and commercial insurance procedures
- High level of proficiency with PC applications, particularly Excel and Word
- Ability to receive clearance from the Department of Justice and The Office of Inspector General
- Must be at least 18 years of age and able to meet various employment verification requirements
