What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Contact insurance payers, employers, or responsible parties to collect on outstanding accounts receivables
- Identify and resolve improper payments, incorrect denials, billing errors, and payer discrepancies
- Compile accurate appeals and disputes to the appropriate payers and state divisions
- Ensure individual and department goals are met, including reducing past due accounts and increasing cash performance
- Research, compile, maintain, and manage quality data related to collection efforts
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- General office knowledge, including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Proper phone and email etiquette
- Ability to review, analyze, and interpret payer reimbursements and billing guidelines
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in managing accounts receivables or billing processes in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with state or federal regulations related to worker's compensation claims
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with various stakeholders
